Published by the Center for Working Life,
Starting Over helps workers
and their families understand and deal with the stress and
frustration of starting over. Full of valuable insights,
helpful job search tips and sound advice, Starting
Over makes it easier for laid-off workers to move
through the change process to new jobs or retraining. CWL
developed Starting Over
as an outreach tool for laid-off workers services and for
use in pre- and post-layoff peer support programs. More
than 1 million copies have been distributed to workers in
the United States and Central Europe and is a useful
tool for WIB staff, One Stop Centers, Labor Management Assistance
Teams and unions in their work with laid-off workers.
Starting Over is worker friendly, written in a style that's
easy to read and understand. CWL publishes Starting Over
in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Russian.
